1 Core Principle: Local Processing
QR Code Scanner operates on a "Client-Side First" architecture. This means that the actual scanning, decoding, and processing of QR codes and barcodes happens entirely within your web browser (using HTML5 and WebAssembly technology).
We do not upload your images or camera feed to our servers. Your data never leaves your device during the scanning process.
2 Camera Permissions
To function, this website requires access to your device's camera. This permission is used strictly for the real-time detection of QR codes and barcodes.
- Camera access is temporary and stops the moment you close the tab.
- We do not record, store, or transmit video footage.
- You can revoke this permission at any time via your browser settings.
3 Data Storage (History)
We offer a "History" feature that saves your recent scans. This data is stored in your browser's Local Storage.
This data resides solely on your specific device. If you clear your browser cache or use "Incognito Mode," this history is permanently deleted. We have no access to this database.
4 Third-Party Services
While we do not track you, our Barcode Scanner feature allows you to search for products on third-party platforms (Google, Amazon). Clicking these buttons opens external links. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these destination sites.
