We built QR Code Scanner to prove that utility tools don't need to steal your data to work beautifully.
Most online scanners operate on a "send-and-return" model. When you scan a QR code, your image is uploaded to a remote server, processed, and then the result is sent back.
We asked ourselves: Why? Why should a photo of your Wi-Fi password or a personal document ever leave your device?
"We believe the best way to protect user data is to never collect it in the first place."
We utilize HTML5 and WebAssembly to run code locally in your browser. No trackers, no cookies, no server uploads.
By cutting out the server, we cut out the latency. Scanning happens at the speed of your device's processor.
No paywalls, no "3 free scans per day" limits. We believe basic digital utilities should be accessible to everyone.
